WEDDING NEWSPAPER GUIDES
What to include in a wedding newspaper
A good four-page wedding newspaper has a front page with your names and date, a story spread, the details of the day, and a thank-you to your guests.
Page 1: the front page
- Your names and the wedding date
- The venue or city
- One strong photograph
- A short headline
- A small “inside this edition” list
Page 2: your story
- How you met, or the story of the proposal
- Small details, such as a first date or a weekend ritual
- A funny fact your friends will recognize
Page 3: the day
- The schedule, with times
- The menu
- Your wedding party and the people who matter most
- Where your guests traveled from
Page 4: the keepsake
- A thank-you note
- A closing photograph
- What comes next for you both
Optional extras
- A word search or quiz
- A guest journey map
- An illustrated timeline
- Directions, or a QR code for your wedding website
- Notes from family and friends
What to leave out
Think about who will read and keep this. Leave out private stories, jokes that only one guest will understand, and anything a family member would not want printed. Get permission before using other people’s photographs and personal details.
